Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson

Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson, née Martes, was married from 1972 to 1993 to Toriano “Tito” Jackson of the world famous Jackson family. Michael Jackson was her brother-in-law and Janet Jackson was her sister-in-law. Tito and Dee Dee Martes met in school at Fairfax High School. They married soon after they graduated. Together, they had three sons, Toriano “Taj” Jackson, Taryll Jackson and Tito Joe “TJ” Jackson, who later formed the singing group 3T. Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson was 39 and divorced when she met Donald J. Bohana. They dated for about eight weeks before her death.

After her death, her ex-husband, Tito Jackson, and their three sons, Taj, TJ and Taryll Jackson, started the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation to attempt to use music to help people deal with grief. The three sons have done about 100 podcasts, host a celebrity softball game, and seek to use musical therapy to help those who have lost a loved one. The website for the foundation focuses on the three sons’ singing careers.
